My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dear old Charlie is available for adoption!  Charlie is looking for his forever home! This sweet senior gentleman is around 12 years old and weighs just 9 pounds of pure love. Charlie came to us from a shelter in Texas, where he was sadly abandoned and unable to find a family. But we’re here to make sure he gets the happy ending he deserves in his golden years! Charlie is such a wonderful little dog! He’s calm, attentive, and full of affection. Whenever his foster mom is working, he loves to come up to her for some pets and love—it’s one of his favorite things! When he’s not getting attention, you can find him happily snuggled up in his dog bed, dozing the afternoon away. Charlie absolutely loves going for walks and can handle a nice, long stroll, always enjoying the sights and scents along the way. He will mark his territory when exploring new places! but no worries—a belly band will help him adjust to his new home, and Pixie Mamas will make sure he has one. He’s doing great with his housetraining but will likely mark in a new place.   A belly band will help him adjust to his new home, and Pixie Mamas will make sure he has one when he is adopted.  Charlie is also crate trained. He is a good companion on car rides. Charlie gets along well with other dogs, but he doesn’t need a canine buddy in his new home. He’s also good with cats! Although he hasn’t spent time with young kids, he would really thrive in a calmer home where he can feel secure. Overall, Charlie is just a sweetheart looking for his forever family! Charlie has had a full dental when he arrived in NY and only has 3 teeth left but boy he likes to eat!  He is very treat and food motivated!  He also had a Pro Heart 12 injection which provides heartworm prevention for a year.   Charlie is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $300Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 17, 2025, 11:27 am
