Lottie is a 12 pound, 2-year-old Chihuahua / Rat Terrier mix with the sweetest, softest eyes and a heart that’s been through more than it should. Recently surrendered to a crowded shelter by the only family she’s ever known, Lottie is understandably confused and overwhelmed. The shelter environment has been scary for her, but even through her fear, you can see the gentle, loving dog she truly is. This petite girl is great with other dogs and finds comfort in their company. Right now, she’s timid with new people — her world has been turned upside down — but with patience, time, and a calm, reassuring home, Lottie will blossom. She doesn’t need much, just someone who will let her decompress, feel safe, and learn that she’s loved again. Lottie has her ticket to Colorado and is ready for the second chance she so deeply deserves. If you're looking for a quiet companion to grow with you, to share small victories and quiet cuddles, Lottie is waiting to meet you. Lottie is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog.
