My story

Introducing Katya! She was brought to the shelter on 5/1 along with her bestie, Knox because they became lost on an adventure. Knox has been adopted. Katya is only 2 years old and weighs a mere 40lbs. The volunteers describe her as sweet, cute, and a bit timid. She is a bit confused right now and that is understandable because she has been placed in a scary place that is not home. Volunteers are spending time with her to make her feel more comfortable. With some patience, guidance, and lots of love and time, she will blossom out of his shell. She is also a smart cookie as she knows sit when asked. Please take some time and visit with her in Run 857; her ID is 9740. She is waiting for you! Please help her find her way out of the shelter and into your heart, home and family. Please keep in mind that she is a breed that requires activities that keeps them mentally and physically active so they never, ever return to a shelter. So please make sure you have the time, space, and lifestyle that ensures Katya has stable life growing up. If you have space in your heart and your home for one or both, they would be forever grateful. Katya is current on vaccines, will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption; she tested negative for heartworms. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know her a little better. Katya is probably what you have been looking for all this time. She is patiently waiting for her forever family to save her life. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
