My story

Patches came to OOTW with 7 siblings and everyone has a new home except him. He's been in our program since November 2023 and he is ready ... so ready to find his forever family.Patches has one problem ... he is skittish. He's a LOT better than he was when he first arrived. Although the puppies were handled a little when they were very young, they were not handled enough to be what we would consider "well socialized", therefore, this boy is just unsure about ... well, most everything. He is living in a home with many other dogs, which makes it tough for him to get the attention he needs, however, he does sleep in his foster's bed every night, or he will gladly sleep in a crate. He allows his foster mom to love on him, rub his belly, ears and give him kisses on his snout! But he is still jumpy with others in the home. What we are looking for is a home with maybe one other dog. He loves his foster brothers and sisters and enjoys playing chase and wrestling with them. He is completely house trained to a doggie door, and he is a polite dog, does not jump up on you or have any other bad behaviors. He is not a chewer and not destructive. This handsome boy is a bit thin (a trait of a hound), but a great eater and as he ages, he should continue to fill out ... adult weight should be around 50 pounds. He probably weighs about 40 pounds now. If you would like to give this boy a well-deserved home, start with our Adoption Application, you'll find the link just below. His adoption fee is $150 and this boy is fully vetted, been microchipped and heartworm negative. To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact. We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application. Please go to http://ootwrescue.org/adoption to fill out an application or review our Adoption Process.Cat adoption fee is $100. Dog adoption fee is $150, unless otherwise specified.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Patches, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
