Say hello to Luna, a 1-year-old spayed female Jindo mix with a soft brown and white coat, weighing in at 13kg and standing 52cm tall at the shoulder. She was rescued from a high-risk shelter in Danyang, Chungbuk, after being found wandering the streets, and she’s now ready to find a safe and loving forever home. Luna is a gentle soul who can be quite shy at first. New people may scare her, and if approached too quickly, she may try to run away out of fear. But don’t be fooled—give her about a week to adjust, and she transforms into a total sweetheart with a love for affection. She’s especially drawn to women and, once she feels safe, becomes cuddly and expressive, often showing her belly and happily soaking up attention. While she can be picked up even when she’s not fully comfortable, she may feel scared if trust hasn’t been built yet. But once that bond is formed, she becomes a loving companion who communicates with her whole heart. Luna is polite and peaceful with other dogs. She gets along with everyone and prefers dogs her size or smaller, as larger dogs can make her a bit nervous. She avoids conflict—even if another dog tries to provoke her—and is especially uncomfortable with overly energetic pups. In her previous foster home, she lived with a small dog who totally bossed her around, and Luna just let it happen. When things get too loud or crowded, she’ll quietly retreat to a calm corner to relax. She shows mild curiosity toward cats on walks but follows her human’s lead when redirected—cat testing is possible. Luna has a medium energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities but is calm and quiet indoors. After a walk, she’s perfectly content to rest and nap without getting into trouble. She’s a bit sound-sensitive and needs time to build confidence on walks. At first, unfamiliar noises and environments can spook her, especially if she hasn’t bonded with her person yet. But once that trust is in place, Luna gains courage and turns into a happy, enthusiastic walking partner who loves shared adventures. When it comes to food, Luna is incredibly gentle. She never guards her meals and won’t even protest if another dog takes her food—she’ll simply look on in quiet confusion. She’s typically quiet, though she might bark or whine playfully when inviting someone to interact. She’s not yet comfortable getting into cars on her own and needs to be carried in, but she’s working on it. For now, she prefers doing her business outside. Luna is a tender, loving pup who just needs a little time to open up—and when she does, she’ll give you her whole heart.
