My story

Name: KeikoBreed: Alaskan HuskyAge: 10 yearsGender: FemaleSize: Large (46 kg / ~101 lbs)About KeikoKeiko is an easy-going, low-maintenance lady who’s ready to enjoy her well-earned retirement. She was found as a stray and, sadly, no one came looking for her — but she hasn’t let that dim her spirit. Keiko is friendly with everyone she meets, enjoys a good grooming session (except for nail trims — she’s not a fan), and loves nothing more than lounging in a comfy spot. Her calm, laid-back personality makes her a dream to have around.Ideal HomeKeiko would thrive in a quiet, relaxed home with someone who appreciates a peaceful companion. She’s great with well-mannered dogs but wouldn’t enjoy the company of overly reactive ones. A home without cats is recommended. She’s fully housetrained and walks like a dream, making her a wonderful fit for someone looking for a mellow, affectionate dog to share their space.Compatibility:Kids: Yes, gentle and respectfulDogs: Yes, if they’re calm and non-reactiveCats: Not recommendedTraining and SkillsHousetrainedWalks beautifully on leashComfortable with grooming (except nail trims — who can blame her?)Well-mannered and relaxed indoorsFavouritesLong naps in sunny spotsLeisurely strollsBeing brushed and pamperedCalm, cozy environmentsDislikesNail trimsOverly pushy or reactive dogsHigh-energy environmentsAdoption Fee$200 — includes spay surgery, current vaccinations, and microchipping upon adoption.Additional NotesKeiko is the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed, loving dog who’s happy just to be near you. She doesn’t need much — just a soft bed, a little daily affection, and a calm routine. If you’ve got room in your heart (and home) for a sweet senior, Keiko’s ready to meet you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Keiko, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
