My story

Name: TuckerBreed: Mixed Breed (Medium-Large)Age: 1 year, 7 monthsGender: MaleSize: Large (23.2 kg / ~51 lbs)About TuckerTucker is an energetic, affectionate young dog with a big heart and a need to be by your side. He’s a classic “shadow dog” — happiest when he’s with his person, whether that’s going on an adventure or just hanging out around the house. He had an unstructured start to life but is still young and ready to learn. With the right guidance, he’s going to be an incredible companion. He’s playful, cuddly, and always down for interactive toys or a good training session.Ideal HomeTucker needs a home that offers consistency, patience, and plenty of together time. He’d be a great fit for someone who works from home, is retired, or just loves having their dog as a full-time sidekick. He can be a bit wary of strangers at first, so a quieter home without young children is best. He’s good with other dogs and may be okay with cats if introductions are slow and supervised. A large, secure backyard would be a huge bonus for Tucker — he’d love the space to run and explore.Compatibility:Kids: Older, respectful kids onlyDogs: YesCats: Possibly, with proper introNeeds: Someone home often, or able to bring him alongTraining and SkillsKnows basic obedienceHouse-trainedWalks pretty well on leash — just needs the occasional reminder that someone’s on the other endEager to learn and responds well to structureNeeds continued socialization with new people and environmentsFavouritesToys (especially when you`re playing too)Going everywhere with his personCuddling after a good play sessionLearning new things — smart and highly trainableDislikesBeing left alone for long periodsLoud or chaotic environmentsFast introductions to new peopleHealth InformationNeuteredUp to date on vaccinationsMicrochippedNo known medical concernsAdoption Fee$495 — covers neuter, vaccinations, and microchip.Additional NotesTucker would thrive with someone who can give him routine, reassurance, and a good dose of fun. He’s not a “set-and-forget” dog — he wants to be involved, connected, and close. With the right match, Tucker is going to make one heck of a best friend.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tucker, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
