My story

Meet Shelby, a handsome, dignified boy who recently found himself in our care after his owner began experiencing health issues. It’s always tough for a cat to leave their only home, and Shelby is no exception. Understandably, he’s still learning to trust his new surroundings and get comfortable, but we can tell there’s a sweet soul living under the surface. We’ve learned from Shelby’s former home that once he’s comfortable, he’s chock-full of surprises! Described as having a dog-like personality, Shelby was known for chasing toys with gusto, and could even pick up on a few tricks in exchange for a treat. His favorite thing in the whole wide world? Being brushed! This fancy boy could spend hours soaking up the attention during a grooming session. These small glimpses into his past give us hope for the loving pet he’s ready to become again. Right now, Shelby just needs a little time, patience, and understanding. If you’re someone who believes in second chances and has a soft spot in your heart for a cat who needs a little extra love, Shelby could be the perfect pick.
