My story

Meet Mittens! Mittens is a happy, bouncy pup who’s playful and sweet! She’s your classic curious puppy—full of zoomies, obsessed with tug of war, and always down for a good snuggle once playtime winds down. She absolutely adores her big foster brother and is constantly showering him with kisses or challenging him to a game of chase around the condo. Though initially a little shy with new people and dogs, Mittens warms up quickly, especially if there's a treat involved (pro tip: all treats are good treats in her book). She sometimes tucks her tail and looks to her foster dad for reassurance when meeting new faces, but her natural curiosity helps her adjust fast, especially in the hustle and bustle of downtown life. She currently lives in the city and handles noises and stimulation well for a pup her age. Mittens has been introduced to dogs of all shapes and sizes, always greeting them calmly and respectfully. She hasn’t lived with cats or kids yet, but we think she could coexist well with both, given slow and positive introductions. She’s still working on her house training and basic manners—she’s already nailed "sit" and is learning "paw." Crate time is going well too! While she may whine a bit at first when you leave, she settles in and has been totally fine being home alone for a few hours. Mittens thrives with canine companionship, and we believe she’d do best in a home with another confident dog to continue showing her the ropes. She’s affectionate, fun-loving, and always wants to be part of the action (preferably from someone’s arms so she can see everything going on). Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Mittens? Apply Now! https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mittens, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
