My story

Meet Sedona! Sedona is a super sweet and affectionate pup! She gets very wiggly and has the biggest smile when she's happy or excited! At home, Sedona is a very curious and playful girl with her people. Sedona’s favourite activity is to play with her toys and her blanket. She loves to chew and is a big sucker for bully sticks! Sedona does well meeting new people outdoors, but very slow intros are necessary for visitors entering the home. She can be anxious and reactive towards guests, but with proper management and continued training she can accept new people in her home. For this reason, she would do best in a home without a lot of visitors, where new people can be introduced slowly over time. When outside, she is curious but fearful, which is slowly improving over time. She is looking for a family who are confident and patient, who will work on teaching her that the world isn’t all that scary. On occasion, she is reactive towards strangers on walks as well as bikes, which will also need continued work as she builds her confidence. Sedona would do well with a backyard where she can spend some time to work up her outdoor confidence, and have as an outdoor space on bad weather days (who likes the rain anyways?!). Sedona would do best in a quiet neighbourhood, ideally in a house as she is not suited to condo or apartment living, as she is uncomfortable hearing neighbours near her home and will alert bark. She is fully crate trained, potty trained, and does well being left home alone. She could share her home with another confident dog, as she loves to have a play buddy! She is still learning cues from other dogs, so she would do best with a dog that is easy-going. Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Sedona?
