My story

I'm Ernie - you know, from Sesame Street! A proud name. My foster mom sez I'm the sweetest cat she's ever met, a high compliment, since she's an experienced cat mom! I like to start purring the minute I see my people, cuz I just LOVE kind, cat-loving Hoomans! I also am happy lounging around near them, or lying on their laps -- and sometimes, if I'm sleepy, It's fun to be carried around like a baby! I love to play with my siblings, but really, I think, I'd prefer just to be loved. I'd do best with adults or older teenagers, but I'd also be okay with cat-experienced children - say, in upper grade school. Don't know any dogs, so introduce us carefully, pay attention, and we'll probably be fine. A happy, quiet family would be a plus! If someone like me is on your short list, we should talk.
