Update 6/27/25: Jackson (who his foster parents call Rowdy) was awesome at the Bulldog Kia Adoption Event today. He was great with everyone he met - including people, other dogs, and kids. He has learned to sit, and loves showing off for treats! We suspect Jackson gets overlooked because he's a Georgia Black Dog, but he's a real sweetheart! Don't miss the chance to adopt this lovely guy. His foster family reports that he does well with their other animals. They said that he even got into their guinea pigs cage one day, not to hurt them but to try to sleep in the cage with them! He can stay in his crate, but they find that he doesn't really need to be crated in the house. He's just a great dog that needs someone to give him a chance. Could that be you? Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes.
