My story

Jinnie is currently at her foster’s in Vancouver, BC. Background: Jinnie was rescued from a city pound in Hampyeong, Korea last fall. She spent time at a shelter with other dogs and now she is in a foster home Vancouver, BC. Personality and Socialization: Jinnie is friendly, affectionate, quiet, gentle, and submissive, with a calm presence and moderate energy. She’s very sweet and affectionate—happy to snuggle, follow you around, or simply rest nearby. Jinnie is friendly with men and women including strangers and loves being around people. She also gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are gentle and kind. If another dog is a bit pushy, Jinnie will simply walk away—she’s a peacemaker through and through. She’s never been in a fight and would make a perfect second dog for a home looking for a mellow companion. Behaviours: She’s non-destructive, pee pad trained, and easy to care for—making her a wonderful match for someone looking for a low-maintenance, loving companion. Jinnie enjoys her walks and is very pleasant to walk with. She doesn’t pull and is happy to follow her person’s lead. She can get a little nervous in new environments, but she handles it well and takes comfort from being close to her human. Baths, car rides, and vet visits can also make her a bit uneasy, but Jinnie is very well-mannered and allows people to handle her with no fuss. Health and Diet: Jinnie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. When she was first rescued, she tested positive for heartworm, but she has completed treatment and is now fully recovered. She receives regular monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, and she’s had no issues with allergies. Jinnie eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known food sensitivities. Ideal Home: Jinnie is a gentle soul who would thrive in a calm, peaceful home—ideally with someone who is retired or works from home. If you’re looking for a calm and loving friend who will bring a steady kind of joy to your days, Jinnie might just be the one.
