My story

Beautiful little soul, very sweet a bit shy of men, she came to us out of an abuse situation, we saved her at the 11th hour from being euthanized and an overcrowded shelter. She’s tiny, it takes her a little bit to get to know you but once she does she’ll smother you with kisses. She’s learning crate training and will need somebody to teach her the ropes with housebreaking… we require application, Vet references, home visit and them if all looks good we setup a meet and greet with dog and your whole family and any existing dogs. Note: our inbox is overwhelming especially this time of year too many owners irresponsibly dumping their poor dogs in kill shelters so they can go on summer vacation! Pet emergencies and Saving lives takes president over answering email. Please be patient with us We do not have any employees, our volunteers work full-time jobs and manage families, homes, behind-the-scenes rescue tasks, vet and other transports, and most of us foster dogs too. We are shorthanded right now so give us a couple days to respond, you’re welcome to reach out to us is to email as well as submitting the form here. All communication Must include your first and last name, the name of the dog you’re interested in and your city and state - without your name and city and state we will not reply . Notice: We adopt primarily to Vermont and New Hampshire, meet & greets and potential adoptions take place in Southern Vermont by appointment only (Saturday mornings). We adopt to other borderline areas by exception. Each dog is unique just like each person as unique and not all matches are made in heaven therefore we reserve the right to take multiple applications on each dog in order to find it the home that best can meet dog’s unique activity level, personality, and other needs. We do not have a brick and mortar building for you to come visit our dogs. Meet and greet are reserved for verified applicants. We love our dogs and we’re excited that you’re interested in loving one forever. Our organization offers guidance your dog settled in and we are there for a long after the adoption takes place. If for any reason you no longer want or can no longer care for the doggy adopted from us as agreed LET US KNOW & we will take it back. * We do not allow third-party adoptions (gift dogs), and we do not allow our adopters to give away, sell, abandon or surrender our rescues to any other organization or shelter. Our commitment to each dog is for its entire lifetime. And we are here for you long after the adoption. We encourage everyone to stay in touch With their adoption counselor, we love getting updates, photos etc. Thanks so much for your interest we look forward to hearing from you

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Squiggles, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
