LUIGI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Luigi and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (June 1st) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305, USA)!       Name:  Luigi         Best Guess for Breed:   Retriever mix, some lab maybe   Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of May 2025         SEX:   Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     28.4 lbs as of 5/25/25   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.   Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Luigi is Looking For:  His forever home! This sweetie is an older puppy and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see Luigi trotting by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Luigi has to be one of the cutest boys I’ve ever seen! He’s got all the good puppy energy and is happy as a clam to play with his stuffies, play fetch indoor OR out, or even just hang out with a bone while you’re together. He was with me for his first overnight after his transport and a few dog day out adventures, and he was a great house guest each time. He slept through the night, didn’t have any accidents, and he’s also food motivated, so he’s perfect for puppy training. He will make a fantastic, fun, goofy, sweet addition to any family.    Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
