My story

Meet Gypsy, the 2,5 -Year-Old Siberian Husky. Gypsy is your classic Siberian Husky: gorgeous, independent, and just a little dramatic. She’s the kind of girl who’ll make you work for her love, but once you earn it? She’s a total sweetheart with a soft spot for squeaky toys and calm walks (with some majestic tail swishing, obviously) She’s got solid leash manners, makes the sweetest eye contact, and allows petting like a queen receiving tributes. She may not launch into play mode immediately, but give her time and a squeaky toy, and she’ll show you her goofy side. Gypsy is friendly with new people but appreciates slow intros. If you’re too fast, she might back away—so take a breath, bring a treat, and pretend you’re on a first date in a Jane Austen novel. She’ll come around. She knows “sit,” and absolutely thrives on calm energy and patience. She`d do best in an adult or older teen home (15+), where people get that trust takes time—and snacks help. If you’re looking for a chill, quirky companion with a regal fluff factor Gypsy is your girl!If you are interested in learning more contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:E: Adoption@hempsteadny.govE: Foster@hempsteadny.govE: Rescue@hempsteadny.govT. 516.785.5220#SiberianHusky #huskyrescue #huskyshelterdog #huskiesrock #Adoptme #adoptionistheoption #takemehome #adoption #rescue #rescueismyfavoritebreed #opttoadopt #longislanddogs #longislanddogparents #adotions #dog #doggo #dogsofnewyork #newyorkcitydogs #NYCdogs #huskydog #rescuedog #nyadoptable #longislandanimalshelter #animalshelter #shelterdogs #shelterdog #shelterdogsrock #rescuedogsarethebest
