My story

Millie is a resilient and loving senior pup with a gentle soul and a surprising amount of pep in her step! Despite being deaf and living with cataracts in both eyes, Millie navigates the world with confidence, curiosity, and a wagging tail that never quits. She came to us as a stray and, heartbreakingly, was never claimed by her previous owner. But Millie hasn`t let that slow her down—she’s charmed every member of our team and quickly became a staff favorite. Her affectionate nature and calm presence make her a perfect companion for a peaceful home.Millie is scheduled for dental care soon, and it’s possible she may need to have all her teeth removed. But don’t worry—dogs do wonderfully without teeth, and it won’t take away from her love of soft treats, couch snuggles, or those happy tail wags she’s known for.If you`re looking for a low-maintenance, high-sweetness pup who just wants to be near her people, Millie might be the perfect addition to your home. She’s ready for her next chapter and deserves a family who sees her golden years as just the beginning. If you have room in your heart and in your home for a senior dog, please come and meet Millie today.Macomb County Animal Control is open M-F from 10am-4pm.Adoption fee is $100 which will go towards the cost of Millie`s care.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MILLIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
