My story

Chex is a soft and sweet boy with a luxurious long coat and a gentle soul. At 3 years old, he’s past the kitten stage but still has plenty of playful curiosity. With his front paws declawed, Chex will need to be an indoor-only cat to keep him safe and comfortable.Chex can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a bit of patience and a quiet space to settle in, his affectionate and calm nature shines through. He especially enjoys lounging in sunny spots and being brushed—regular grooming is a must to keep his beautiful coat mat-free and healthy.Chex has lived with other cats and could be a great feline companion. He hasn’t had much experience with dogs, so a slow introduction or a dog-free home may be best. Due to his timid nature, we recommend a home with respectful children ages 10 and up.If you`re looking for a gentle, low-key companion with a lot of love to give, Chex might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see if your home is the cozy place he’s been waiting for!If you are interested in meeting Chex or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.Adoption fee is $50
