My story

BREED - Shepherd mix SEX - Male WEIGHT - 6 lbs at 5 weeks of age AGE - (Born April 5, 2025) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: lefeburek@gmail.com PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Please reach out to Katie at lefeburek@gmail.com LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue Bell; Application screener: Katie Lefebure (lefeburek@gmail.com) ADOPTION FEE: $595 which INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! ESTIMATED WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 50-70 lbs KNOWN WITH DOGS: Seymour plays well with his three littermates and is curious about the resident dogs in his foster home, who he'll be able to meet soon! KNOWN WITH CATS: TBD KNOWN WITH KIDS: TBD KNOWN COMMANDS: Will learn very quickly! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING/OR CRATING: Too young yet. KNOWN LIKES: Cuddling and playing, yelling for his dinner while his foster mom prepares it :o) KNOWN DISLIKES: We haven't identified any dislikes yet. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: This litter of four came to us when their mama refused to nurse them. They have been raised by bottle feeder fosters and are thriving! Seymour is a handsome puppy with his heavy brows and fan of white across his chest. He is physically strong and sought adventure early in life by climbing out of the safe, warm puppy bin not long after his eyes were open. He is the first of his siblings to choose soft rubber bones over stuffies for gnawing. He is also the most athletic, tossing toys (which often makes him tip over :) and wrestling with his brother and sisters. Seymour is a good sport, allowing them to pin him for practice because he knows he can get up whenever he chooses! He is showing a shepherd-worthy streak of independence that he happily sets aside when his foster people pick him up to give pets and praise! HT ADOPTION INCLUSIONS: Spay/Neuter First 3 distemper series vaccines & de-wormings Microchip - lifetime with no registration fees Current on heartworm preventative Current on flea/tick preventative EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free first exam with: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) Free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting (in DC/Arlington/Alexandria only) A portion of EVERY ADOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Seymour, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
