My story

Say hello to Ben, a very lovable, chunky, wrinkly boy! Ben's favorite hobbies are playing with his toys, napping, cuddling, or wrestling with his foster sister. He enjoys attention and especially likes getting back scratches (best spot is behind the ears and booty scratches). When he gets excited, he sways his whole little butt in happiness to the point he almost makes himself fall over! Ben is mostly potty-trained and is crate-trained, but he does tend to tinkle a little when excited (he does well when sticking to a schedule). Sadly, Ben has lots of fears of the outside world due to his previous life of neglect and abuse. Cars are scary, and he is jumpy to sudden noises or movements. It is doubtful if he had much exposure to the outdoors up until he was placed in his foster home. New people can be scary, too, (rightfully so), so it may take a while for him to warm up, but with enough love and snacks, he's all in and will become your best friend. Ben will need a patient owner who can help him navigate through his fears and insecurities of the outdoor world. His foster mom believes he would do amazing in a home with another dog (big confidence booster). Little Ben doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he just shuts down when scared and needs reassurance to help him be brave. Ben has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested negative. For an application to adopt this adorable, fun-loving and lovable fellow, please visit our website, www.fcacc.org, for our online application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ben, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
