My story

Hi, I’m Mickey! I’m a 3-year-old Siberian Husky with a smaller frame but a whole lot of energy and love to give! I may be a little high-energy at times, but once I get a good walk or run in, I settle down beautifully and become the best indoor buddy you could ask for. I’m currently living with a fun foster sister (she’s a high-energy, semi-submissive gal), and we get along great—playing together outside really helps me burn off my zoomies! I’d do best in a home with at least one furry sibling to keep me company. I also enjoy the company of human kids, I live with two (ages 10 and 12), and I think they’re pretty awesome. I’m still learning a few manners. When I get excited, I might jump or hop on the furniture, but I’m working on “off” and getting better every day. I love walks and runs, and while I can pull a little on the leash at first, I settle into a rhythm quickly. After being inside, I tend to gulp down my water like it's going out of style, so I usually need to go out right after to avoid accidents. Potty training is still in progress, but I’m trying! The kennel and I are on okay terms now, I’m getting used to it. And even though I’m full of energy, I’m also a sweetie who loves laying next to my people while they work or relax. I’m pretty calm most of the time unless my foster sisters get me riled up—then it’s party time again! I’m not a big talker, I haven’t tried counter surfing (yet!), and I’ve shown no food or toy aggression at all. I’m just a happy, playful guy looking for a home with a fenced yard, a little patience, and a whole lot of love. I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick for runs, walks, and cuddle time, I might be your guy!
