My story

Meet Dumptruck or Dumpy as he is affectionately called! Dumpy is a 12 week old, 20 lb (currently) pitbull puppy. The ideal home for him would be with older kids as he is still pretty mouthy like a typical puppy. A home with or without other animals would work for him. He would love lots of space to run and play to work out his puppy energy and people who are willing to work with him to better himself for a bright future. An endearing quality of his is he will hop, hop, hop when he knows you are getting some water or time for a meal! He stays on a consistent routine when it comes to daily stuff such as...he knows he needs to eat in his crate while other dogs are around so there is no protection of his food. Playing with the other dogs in his home is also part of his routine. Dumpy is very social when meeting new people; he gets super excited! He is higher energy but once that has been worked out of his system, he is an amazing pup and loves to cuddle. He is just so sweet and welcoming with just about anything. He loves playing chase! A standard 5' fence would be perfect for him but not a requirement as long as his owner is committed to daily walks. He lives with other dogs, a pig and cats. If he is supervised with cats upon the initial meeting, he will be fine; a patient older dog would be best so Dumpy can be given proper corrections and time to learn how to dog properly. With time and proper training and corrections he will make a perfect dog. He is still working on potty training...after all he is still a puppy but is crate trained. He has learned some commands while in foster care such as "sit", "stay", "come", "no", "off" and "drop it" - Quite an impressive list! Dumpy is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $400.00 Please note: applicants must live within 60 minutes of Toledo, Ohio. If you think Dumpy is the right fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application below. http://www.dogworksohio.com/adoption-application.html
