My story

Meet Camden (watch my video) Camden is a delightful puppy who will keep you entertained. He is 13 weeks old and has a calm demeanor as far as young puppies go. He is very comfortable with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He enjoys playing fetch, playing with toys and snuggles with his favorite people and dogs. He sleeps well in his crate at night. He has done very well with housebreaking when taken out regularly. Although he is always up for a good game of tug, he will also play with his toys independently and sometimes go into his pen on his own and curl up in his little bed and go to sleep, often in very strange positions that keep us laughing. He is a quick learn and has learned a couple of basic commands, and he starts puppy kindergarten this week to continue to work on learning skills and building confidence, as all young puppies should. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. The adoption fee is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. Puppies under 6 months of age may go to adoptive homes before they are spayed/neutered with a spay/neuter contract. Adopters who choose to adopt a puppy that has not yet been spayed/neutered are subject to an additional deposit of $100 (refundable upon proof of spay/neuter prior to the contracted date.) Included in the adoption fee, the rescue will arrange spay/neuter by a partner vet at a predetermined appointment when the puppy is between 7-9 months of age. It is the responsibility of the adopter to bring the adopted puppy back to the rescue vet for spaying/neutering or, if they choose, to send verification from their own vet (at the adopter's own cost) that the puppy had been spayed/neutered. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging.
