Paulina

My story

I knew Paulina was misunderstood from the time I saw her in the shelter and in taking her under my wing she proved me right in every way. She is the SWEETEST girl. She was great with my dogs, my next-door neighbor's young child, and when my mom and little sister (11) came to visit she loved them too. Paulina is house trained and only had accidents in the beginning when she was learning the schedule. She knows how to ask to go out but as long as she is following a schedule, she has had no accidents! I am in a pretty loud part of the city and she's not reactive to anything besides the occasional bark at people (mostly men), or another dog. She let me friend's boyfriend pet her with no issues though so no grudges are held! So far the only things relatively negative to note are the separation / car anxiety, and that she is an escape artist. She did find the only hole in my friends fence and hop out, but she came right back with no issues. She barks when I leave-- but from 20 mins of barking the first day, we are down to only a few barks and whines when I first exit. Right now she’s in the cage but I’m hoping to promote her to free roam eventually— i am only nervous about her scratching on the door when I leave as when I go to the basement for my laundry that is typically how she reacts. She also whines the whole car ride but she is getting better as my dogs love the car and are good examples for her! Paulina LOVES grass. She loves rolling in it, laying in it, kicking it up!! Whoever adopts her must fulfill her grassy needs 😂. We have been frequenting a nearby park so she can get all her rolls in! Overall she is a pleasure and I know it's going to break my heart when she leaves. She sleeps in my leg crook, and sits on my clothes while I shower. Truly a little shadow. She is going to make the best addition to someone's life and I am going to miss her dearly!!
