My story

Meet Mimi A senior with style! Mimi is a 10-year-old terrier mix who may be a senior, but don’t let her age fool you—she’s a force to be reckoned with. Full of personality and strong opinions, Mimi knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting you know. She walks beautifully on leash—as long as the route meets her approval—and she has no problem hopping onto the couch, your lap, or into the car when it suits her. Once she’s settled in your lap, she’ll happily accept pets… until she’s had enough, and she’ll let you know. One thing to keep in mind: Mimi does not like to be picked up and prefers to get around on her own terms. She does fine with other dogs in public, dog park-style settings, but she doesn’t want to share her person at home. She’ll resource guard her favorite human, so she’s best as the only dog in the household. If you’re looking for a funny, feisty companion with tons of character and clear boundaries, Mimi might just be your perfect match.
