My story

Meet the best puppy in all the land, Rudy short for Rudolf the rednosed reindeer. Rudy is a 4-month-old terrier mix currently weighing in at 32 lbs. Rudy is microchipped and up to date on his vaccines including rabies. He will be neutered at the end of the month before adoption. Rudy is full of love and energy. He looks at you with the most loving eyes and just wants love all the time. He has the most expressive ears; up for when he hears you, back when he’s excited and the most adorable head tilt when you’re talking to him. He loves to go for walks, car rides, fetch balls, play with toys and wrestle with his sister doggies. He also loves his humans; where you go, Rudy is right beside you. We are working on basic commands sit(mastered) off( he still likes to jump up but will listen when I say off) and calm(he loves to come cuddle but he comes up like a wrecking ball so we are teaching him to calmly sit in our lap) Oh and he would love to lick your whole face. Also, he loves the water; whether you’re watering the garden, just using the hose or even jumping in the bath. And talk about a perfect gentleman; He does great when he is getting his baths and every night, he goes right into his crate when you tell him its bedtime. He sleeps in his crate all night, not a peep. As soon as you greet him, he goes out to go potty. He also mastered the doggie door in one day and has not had any accidents in the house. One thing we are working on with Rudy is leash aggression; he loves his people so much; he thinks he must protect them on his walks. We are working on redirecting his attention. Everyday Rudy goes to work with his human and dog sisters, so he is used to many people coming in and out of the office and he is totally fine meeting people and getting pets. He has not been around cats or farm animals so we do not know how we will do with them. He does amazing with other dogs and would prefer a playmate as he plays all day with his sister dogs. Since Rudy is a puppy and is still learning. We will be particular about potential adopters with small children. Rudy loves to play with his sister dogs so we want to make sure small humans are well behaved with boundaries. The prospective adopters will need to enroll Rudy in puppy obedience classes upon adoption. This will help him as he is still learning as a puppy. If you like to meet this amazing puppy, please fill out a Statement of Interest on our website. ##2360343##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rudy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
