My story

Meet Delilah – A Gentle Beauty Ready to Bloom Delilah is a 1.5-year-old Lab/Boxer mix with a striking brindle coat, soulful eyes, and the softest ears you’ll ever have the pleasure of petting. Though she came to us understandably terrified, Delilah is slowly beginning to show us the sweet, tender-hearted dog she truly is. Each day, she grows a little braver—perking up for walks with volunteers and staff, and finding joy in the company of other dogs. Her play style is gentle and easygoing, and she seems to have a naturally submissive personality that makes her a lovely companion for calmer, kind-hearted pups. Once Delilah begins to trust you, she’ll quietly nudge your hand for more pets and lean in close for snuggles. She’s not loud or flashy—but her quiet, loving presence is capturing hearts left and right. If you're looking for a sweet, soulful dog who just needs a little time and love to truly shine, Delilah may be your perfect match. The adoption fee is $350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.  Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.  ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.  Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission.  ##2374832##
