My story

Meet Birdie! Age: 16 weeks Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog mix Size: 20 lbs Ideal Home: Gentle family with a confident dog and lots of love to give Background: Birdie has a soft coat of warm browns and tans and an even softer heart. She's still figuring out how wonderful people can be—and she's starting to love treats and kind attention. Though she’s shy now, she’s blossoming more every day. Personality: Sweet-natured and gentle Enjoys quiet affection and soft voices Becoming more confident with daily positive experiences Sensitive soul who thrives with kindness Good With: Friendly, social dogs (required!) Adults or families with older, respectful children Homes that offer calm structure and patient support Not a Fan Of: Noisy, overwhelming spaces Fast introductions—she needs time to trust Birdie is a tender-hearted pup with so much love to give. She just needs the right people and a steady dog friend to help her bloom. If your heart is big enough for a shy girl with a sweet soul, Birdie is waiting for you. All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!
