My story

Well, hello there! My name is Hershey, and at 6 years young, I've got this whole "being adorable" thing down to a science! I'm a dashing Yorkie gentleman, just 10 pounds of pure love wrapped in a fuzzy package. Let me tell you a little secret—I've never met a stranger in my life! Every person I encounter is just a friend I haven't cuddled with yet. My philosophy is simple: the more hands available for petting me, the better! Whether you're tall or small, young or old, if you've got love to give, I'm ready to receive it with my whole little Yorkie heart. Life with me is pretty sweet (just like my name suggests). I have excellent house manners and a well-behaved little fellow. I do get a little excited on walks and might pull on the leash a bit…there's just so much to see and sniff in this big world! One of my favorite pastimes is following my human around the house. Some might call it shadowing, but I prefer to think of it as "providing close-range companionship services." I believe the proper distance between me and my favorite human should be measured in inches, not feet! And when I get the chance to snuggle up close? That's when the kisses start and I LOVE to give kisses!!! I get along splendidly with other dogs…they're all potential playmates in my book! I haven't had much experience with cats, so that would be a new adventure for me. And older kids? I think so especially if they are willing to give me the perfect belly rubs that I absolutely adore…rub my tummy, and I'll be your best friend for life! Mealtime is my favorite time of day…I LOVE food, especially foods that are actually treats! 😂 And while I'm generally a calm, quiet boy who rarely barks (I'm more of a listener than a talker), I do have my playful moments especially if there are squeaky toys to entertain me.
