I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:6Meet Forest- the gentle and handsome 4-year-old, 60-lb dark Shepsky boy with a calm soul and an independent streak. Polite and reserved: Greets you gently, especially when approached with a calm, friendly manner. Independent explorer: Loves to sniff and mark while taking in the world around him. Appreciates grooming time: Patient while being brushed, even leaning in for a little extra contact. Still learning leash manners: May pull when he gets a bit excited, but he’s making progress with support. Dog-social: Plays nicely in doggie playgroup with well-matched friends. Forest would thrive with a respectful dog companion or as a solo pup in a home that honors his independent nature while offering gentle guidance and affection.
