Get your camera ready and those cute doggy headbands lined up because Phoebe Stardust is the perfect little model! First of all, she is perfectly petite, stunning, soft, and oh so loving. This girl will give you kisses up and down and left and right! She can’t even control her own tongue she is full of so much love. It’s like she doesn’t even know what to do with herself. Two of her favorite things in the whole wide world probably would be sitting in your lap smothering you with her love and playing dress up! Phoebe is a little fashionista and had the best time picking out her favorite headband and showing off how cute she is. It was so funny seeing which headbands she likes and which ones she doesn’t! We couldn’t help but crack up at her goofy personality. She also made sure to sit perfectly still so that we could capture her vogue beauty shots. Phoebe is a total social media model in the making! See it for your self! She really does make sure you get the perfect picture of her: https://youtu.be/kwlK1dbSLQk?si=FLhY1aTEO9W4YgKN Phoebe is still polishing up her leash skills. She is doing so great, she just cant help but want to say hello to everyone she sees! Because of her love of treats, we don’t see learning knew things taking very long! She already knows how to sit! This girl will do just about anything to please you. It would be a blast training with her because she is so attentive. Her foster says she loves to climb up on her lap on the porch while she drinks her morning coffee and reads a good book. Talk about living the dream! Do you work from home? Phoebe would love to sit and watch you work, coming in for a kiss every once in a while. She will probably hit you with those puppy eyes too! Phoebe currently lives with 4 dogs and is doing amazing! Her foster has pups from 95-15lbs, and Phoebe fits in perfectly. The Shepherd can be a bossy girl, and Phoebe takes corrections like a champ. She lets it just roll off her back! She did great meeting new dogs for the first time on and off leash too. She does prefer slower introductions because she can get a little nervous when meeting new dogs too fast and prefers to meet one at a time. It does not take her long to feel comfortable around other dogs, only mere minutes! Before you know it, she's inviting play and doing the cutest bunny hops. She had the most amazing time running around, playing chase, and splashing around in the water with her new friends that she made. In a home, Phoebe will do best with other dog(s) that will allow her to get to know them first before initiating play, enjoy romping around in the yard for a game of chase, and a dog that appreciates those calm hangout moments too. Phoebe did great meeting Biggie (our house cat) and she did great with him. She really didn't even pay him too much attention and didn't care when he was running around, jumping on counter tops and acting like a typical kitty cat. Funny thing is, although she didn't care much for Biggie, she did love his toys LOL! We caught her playing with his fuzzy cat toy and even played with him and the toy and it was just too cute to handle! Phoebe would love for her forever home to have a backyard that she can explore all the smells, find a spot in the grass where she can sunbathe, stretch her legs, and would even love if you had a pool or even if you bought her a kiddie pool since she loves the water so much. We could also see her potentially doing great in an apartment or condo that is in a more suburban like area because she is a pretty quiet girly! We have not seen her with kiddos yet, but judging by her size and love of everyone— we believe she could be a great family dog! We are happy to test her with anything you may need! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
