DARCY

My story

This little meerkat princess is Darcy. She has been overlooked through no fault of her own! She came into shelter as a puppy with her brother (who has since been adopted) and turned a year old in the shelter in February. She is about 45 lbs. and medium energy. She is incredibly gentle, including with small children. She loves an occasional romp with friends but also a cuddle and snooze. She will politely correct another dog if she’s done playing or the other dog is being too much but is generally tolerant of lots of play styles. We have confirmed that she is a little too interested in kitties to be safe, but would otherwise thrive in most households. I have been told she is a water dog, too! Darcy is crate trained and potty trained with consistent routine, is easy on the leash, is an amazing car-rider, and hasn’t shown any resource guarding tendencies. If you’re looking for a young, sweet, well-rounded angel, look no further—she’ll even let you put a halo on her!
