My story

Arc had been in the shelter confines since December 17th, 2022. For all those who are adoptable, he had been there the longest. A tourist from a boat in the Marina asked the shelter to take him in. She visited and said she wanted him sent to her after sailing season in May 2023. That obviously never materialized, and poor Arc was still homeless. Arc arrived in Canada on November 10 and has been doing very well! He is great with the resident dogs in his foster home and all the people he meets. He is good about baths and having his teeth brushed, too, which is always nice. He is house and crate trained and is not destructive. He is a bit nervous on leash when he sees other dogs, but his confidence is building with gentle practice and positive reinforcement. His favourite things: treats, affection, and running around in the snow. He is also great at the cottage and on hikes. He would be a great family dog. From his foster: “He is not destructive to anything and is completely house trained. Loves to snuggle with his people on the couch. I will miss this boy and I hope his new family loves him as much as I do!”
