My story

Meet Harley!Harley is a 1-year-old blue heeler/border collie mix who weighs 55lbs. He’s a smart, playful, and energetic boy who’s been waiting far too long for his forever home! After months of watching his friends get adopted, Harley’s still hoping his people will come meet him soon.Harley is a true working dog at heart. He has plenty of energy and a busy brain that loves to learn! A fenced-in yard will be required for this active guy—he needs space to run, explore, and burn energy. He’d also thrive with someone willing to give him a job or get involved in training activities to keep his mind busy. He already knows some basic commands, but he’d love to learn more!Harley’s favorite thing in the world? Playing fetch! He’s obsessed with tennis balls and will happily drop the ball for you over and over again, ready to play as long as you are.When it comes to other animals, Harley does best with medium to large dogs. He enjoys playing with them and making new friends! However, small dogs and cats won’t be a good fit, as his natural herding instincts make him prone to chasing them.Harley has met a few children during his time with us and has done well, especially considering he hasn’t been around kids much before. Like with any dog, slow introductions will help ensure a successful match if kids are in the home.If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and adventurous dog who’s always ready to play, Harley might just be your perfect match!Thank you for showing an interest in our pets.
