My story

Meet our lovable handsome Beau with his baby face! This gentle guy is between 6 to 7 months old and is a darling mix of shepherd/ab/hound. This is our best breed guess; however, once you gaze into those stunning eyes it won't matter as he will melt your heart.    Beau was originally a stray with his mama then in a high shelter from which Haven rescued them the day before they were to be euthanized for space.  He's around 50 pounds of pure love and is looking for his person to bond with, keep him safe and love him forever! Beau is a super sweet dog who aims to please his people, is eager to learn and warms up quickly to people and dogs! In other words, he will make a fabulous companion to any family! Beau loves car rides, getting attention, playing with his furry foster siblings and is learning what toys and bones are all about. He is also good with children he has met. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
