Atlas / Male / 4 Months / Northern Mix / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Dog-Savvy Only / Kids: Yes / Location: East Garafraxa 📍 🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Resilient Pup Ready for Adoption! 🐾 We are delighted to introduce Atlas! He arrived in early March from Attawapiskat with a broken leg. After several weeks of weekly bandage changes, Atlas has been bandage-free for a couple of weeks and has now been medically cleared for adoption! 🎉 Atlas is a 4-month-old Northern mix breed—a term we use for many dogs from the North. Thanks to DNA testing, we know these dogs often have a mix of German Shepherd, Husky, Malamute, Retriever, and Collie breeds. This energetic puppy loves to play, chew, and jump around, but he also enjoys cuddling. He is very social with both people and other dogs. Atlas is playful, friendly, smart, and active. While he gets along with other animals, he is also content being by himself and is very affectionate and snuggly. Currently, Atlas is fostered with cats. However, he tends to chase them if they run, so a home with a dog-savvy cat or no cats at all would be best for him. Atlas is crate trained and happily snoozes while you’re away. He is just beginning to learn how to go for walks, as he was previously on crate rest, but he is quickly growing to love it! Given his high energy, he would do best with an active person who has a yard to help him expend his energy. He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. Atlas can be neutered at one of our clinics in Hamilton, Kitchener, London, or Markham after six months of age. Alternatively, we offer a deposit that is returned upon proof of neuter.
