My story

What a looker!! Super handsome and adorable. Avery was found and not claimed. He arrived in super condition and was immediately sweet and friendly. He looks to be approx 10-12 months in age and his size is a hearty 50 lbs. His coat is coal black and plush. His eyes and demeanor capture your heart. He has been quiet, humble and well behaved in our care. Avery is a treat! He is good with other dogs. No experience yet with children. We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help. ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $175- $200 Cats $85. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.) Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or the foster contact listed if in foster care. They can also be downloaded from this website: www.fopcp.org Families with young children are required to have a fenced yard to prevent accidental escape of pets. To make an inquiry call: 606-663-4998. Leave a message on voicemail if you miss the staff. Your calls are VERY IMPORTANT to us! The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt. After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate! For an alternate phone, call 859-948-0371. We are glad to answer any questions. Adoption rates include a spay or neuter, vaccines, & deworming. Surgeries are mandatory! Shelter is located at 121 Echo Hollow Rd - Clay City, Ky 40312. We are 45 minutes east of Lexington, Ky.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Avery, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
