Gigi

My story

Gigi immediately took our hearts. She and her buddy, Peaches, were found alone and abandoned by strangers. They were underweight and scared. They resisted being captured as a result of their fears. However, now that they feel safe they have shown eagerness to engage and soak up affection. We love this pair! Gigi is a slender mixed breed of about 30 lbs. She has regained some of her weight. We believe she is at least 3 yrs old. She has silly ears which is part of her charm. Her breed mix is only a guess. We can't wait to see her happy and secure. She has tremendous love to give! We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help. ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $175- $200 Cats $85. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.) Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or the foster contact listed if in foster care. They can also be downloaded from this website: www.fopcp.org Families with young children are required to have a fenced yard to prevent accidental escape of pets. The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt. After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. Shelter is located at 121 Echo Hollow Rd - Clay City, Ky 40312. We are 45 minutes east of Lexington, Ky.
