My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:18Emu is an 88-pound, 6-year-old, soulful pittie gentleman wrapped in handsome grey velvet. Stoic and shy at first, he’s slowly revealing his warm, playful spirit as he blossoms in a calm, patient environment. Well-mannered walker: Walks nicely on leash and responds to “sit” with ease, especially when treats are involved. Polite and affectionate: Enjoys standing close, subtly inviting pets with soft looks and turning his head with a loving gaze whenever you hit just the right scritch spot. Quiet and respectful: A gentle soul who keeps all four paws on the ground—even when invited up! Gentle treat taker: Takes treats with a soft mouth. Dog-social: Calm and composed around other dogs, even those who bark at him. Emu would thrive in a peaceful home with people who understand the beauty of quiet connection.
