My story

Meet Shirley! This sweet girl is shy at first but quickly becomes attached as soon as she gets to know you. Shirley was rescued as part of a large group of beagles whose owner passed away. She was timid and fearful when she first arrived at her foster home, but very quickly realized she was finally in a safe and loving place. She is becoming more and more comfortable and confident with each day that passes, and even though she's only 6 years old she has the cutest frosted face! Now that she knows and trust her foster mom, Shirley is very content to follow her from room to room and lay down nearby. She needs a gentle family that will be patient with her as she acclimates and let her warm up to them at her own speed. Her ideal home will be a quiet, peaceful place without too many visitors or new people and with lots of windows for her to gaze out of - she loves watching what's happening in the yard. Shirley hasn't had a chance to learn about leash walks yet so she's looking for a home with a secure fenced yard. She's eager to explore so if there's a hole in your fence or other way out she'll find it and make a break for it! Shirley is fully housebroken and gets along with other dogs and cats. She thrives with a predictable routine and around people who speak gently and calmly. She's a great eater and loves lots of yummy treats. Shirley is looking for a quiet corner of the world with gentle, loving humans to claim as her very own. Could you be her person? Shirley is approximately 6 years old and 20lbs.
