Booger

My story

A27446 Booger is a black and white colored, approximately 6-year-old, 19-pound, neutered male, Domestic Short-Haired cat. He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 04-29-2025 due to the fact his mom has dementia and can no longer care for a cat. Booger is a friendly, timid and shy boy here at the shelter. He is still trying to figure out this shelter environment and why he is here. He is scared and hides in the back of his kennel behind the litterbox. He is overweight at 19 pounds so does not really like to be picked up. He will need an owner committed to getting him back to a healthy weight. We would recommend a home with no small children as their quick movements might scare him. He will need a patient new owner to give him the love and time he needs to be comfortable in his new surroundings. He enjoys affection and will lean into head and neck scratches; he is just scared and unsure right now. The previous owner says he is litterbox trained and has lived with other cats, and dogs, but not children. Booger will be a loving family member in his new forever home.
