My story

Ted may be small in size, but his presence is unforgettable. With eyes like a doe’s—wide, soulful and impossibly expressive—Ted will melt your heart the moment you meet him. It’s like he’s peering straight into your soul while quietly asking, “Will you be my person?” Ted came to us in mid-April, a transfer from an overcrowded shelter hoping for a second chance. He’s friendly, but never demanding. He’s quiet, unassuming and gentle. No dramatic entrances, no attention-seeking antics—just quiet companionship and the occasional soft purr. Ted seems to enjoy the cats as he's making rounds. He's a playful guy, especially when it comes to chasing a wand toy and flipping his mouse toy all around. This little guy doesn’t need much. Just a quiet, safe place to call home, a lap to curl up in and someone to finally call his own. Ted’s looking for a protector. A hero. Could it be you? Come meet him. Your quiet little soulmate is waiting. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
