My story

Churrito  3 years, neutered male, 5 lb Chihuahua   PERSONALITY TRAITS: He is a nervous and shaky little guy but he loves to be with people and be held or snuggled.   LIKES: Being with people, snuggling close, sunning himself, comfy blankets, yummy foods.   DISLIKES: Being left alone, dry kibble, being left out of the action.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Goes potty outside.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a crate.   EXTRAS/MISC.: Churrito has mild patellar luxation in both rear knees, which means his knee joints don't move exactly the way they are supposed to. It gives him toes that turn inward and a silly little swagger when he walks. As a small dog, he gets around just fine, but he can't jump very well and can be unsteady on his feet. In terms of his daily care, this means he needs to be in a home with other small dogs or cats that won't hurt him or get too rough, and he won't be able to navigate stairs well so a single-story home is a must. He can go on "walks" in a backpack or stroller, but he is physically limited to short distances. If you want a lap buddy to read books with or carry to a lunch date, he's your (very little) man. Filling out an application in no way guarantees you a dog or a response email as we get hundreds of applications and choose the best home for the dog. Distemper/Parvo boosters,  and rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery are included with the adoption fee.  You will also receive a PetSmart puppy packet with hundreds of dollars of savings, a FREE bag of food, 30 minute private training session with a certified dog trainer, and a free checkup at Banfield.  Potential adopters must live within 30 miles of Eugene, Oregon. If you live outside the 30 mile radius, still send us an email, as we will can make exceptions if the circumstances are optimal for the dog or puppy. ##2362450##
