My story

EXTENTION RESCUE ONLY DEADLINE5PM 05/12/25Name: MishkaAnimal ID: A868100Age: 9 years Weight: 125.4About: Meet Mishka, a sweet senior gal with a lifetime of love to give! Having lived her whole life in her previous home, she`s accustomed to being a cherished companion. Her former family described her as very affectionate, a dream on leash, and a champion lounger. Plus, she`s reliably housebroken and loves being by your side.Mishka is now looking for a calm and peaceful retirement home without small animals (cats or small dogs) or young children, as she has a history of not getting along with them. Mishka has had a history of altercations with small dogs in her previous home, resulting at least one documented minor bite to her owner and has previously snapped at the young child. While she did well with dogs her own size in playgroup at PACC, her real joy comes from being with people. Mishka would thrive in a quiet environment where she can curl up on a comfy couch and spend her golden years being the adored queen she is. Could you offer this lovely senior the peaceful home she deserves?Mishka must find placement with a partnered rescue by 5pm on Tuesday May 6th. Adoption Process: All interested parties must meet Mishka at PACC before her deadline. Once an interested party has met and decided Mishka may be a good fit the process is as follows: Interested parties: •Must visit PACC before Mishka’s 5 pm MAY 12th, 2025, deadline to meet with an adoption counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit. •Are encouraged to reach out to a rescue group ASAP (even before coming to PACC), to start the rescue approval process. Have the rescue contact PACC at PACC.UrgentDogs@pima.gov if approved to pull. •Once you have come to pacc to meet with Mishka your information will be sent to partnered rescue groups.•If a rescue group is interested feels they may be able to pull Mishka they will then reach out to IP’sCollaboration with Rescue Groups:•Rescue groups are encouraged to reach out to PACC early if they are able to pull this animal into their rescue (and what requirements they would have: interested adoptive party, alteration etc.)•If an IP has not already contacted a rescue, PACC will notify all partnered rescue groups of an interested party and request their assistance. •Rescue groups are encouraged to start their adoption process with

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MISHKA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
