My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats.A volunteer writes: Meet Mr. Miguel, a mac and cheese-colored guy who came to the Care Center because of an ongoing medical issue. Since he's been bunking at the Care Center, he's been healing from said medical issue--but that hasn't kept him from showing off his calm, curious demeanor. Our behavior team found Miguel to be affectionate and a lover of pettings, bowing his head for cheek and chin rubs and sniffing treats. This mellow yellow fellow might need time to warm up to new people, our behavior team noted, but he's comfortable with human attention.
