My story

Loving and loyal! Hi there! My name is Cosabella, but my friends call me “Coda.” I’m a two-year-old, 40-pound male Beagle/Shepherd mix, who’s come all the way from a home in Tijuana! I’m in tip-top shape, though I haven’t been neutered just yet. My foster parents say I’m a sweet and loyal boy who’s full of love and always eager to please! I absolutely love going for walks and playing with my toys, but I’m equally content getting a little shut-eye on the couch or bed.  My other favorite things are getting belly rubs and treats, cuddling, and being close to my humans.  I’m also a big fan of kitties and non-reactive doggie friends, big or small.  In fact, I’ll happily give kisses to any furry pals who are up for some affection.  When it comes to training, I’ve got the basics down. I’m fully potty-trained, walk great on a leash, follow commands well, and am crate-trained, too (though I’m usually trusted outside of crates since I’m not the destructive type). I can be a little sensitive to loud noises and have some mild separation anxiety, but I manage well during a typical workday and do great when left alone. I also rarely bark! I think I’d do well in most households but would love a forever home with a non-reactive doggie sibling who can match my energy level, along with a kitty sibling who doesn’t mind kisses from me! I’d also do fine with kids, too – as long as they’re gentle and respectful. With a little patience and a lot of love, I know I’ll be your perfect companion!
