Emerald

My story

A27411 Emerald is a black colored, approximately 4-year-old, 10-pound, neutered male, Domestic Long-Haired cat. He entered the shelter as a stray on 04-27-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Emerald is a friendly, timid and shy boy here at the shelter. He is new to the shelter environment and is still trying to figure it out. He first hid in the back of the kennel. Now he comes to the front and watches what is going on. He came in with Jade and they may be siblings, but do not appear bonded. He is more confident than her. He has started taking treats right from our hands. In the playroom he cautiously explored but ultimately picked a medium height cubby to watch the room from. We would recommend a home with no small children as their quick movements might scare him. He will need a patient new owner to give him the love he needs to be comfortable in his new surroundings. Once comfortable in a new home we believe he will be loving and sociable. Emerald will be a loving family member in his new forever home.
