My story

This sweet, skinny guy is all heart and eager for a fresh start. Johnny Boy Is full of enthusiasm when it’s time to head outside. He quickly does his business, a short walk and then likes to head back inside—he’s clearly a fan of indoor comforts and quality time with people! Johnny Boy is very friendly, treat-motivated, and already knows “sit.” He’s underweight and could use some TLC, but his loving personality shines through. While he’s not looking to share his home with other pets, he’s more than ready to be someone’s one and only companion. Not steerable, growling, needed to be muzzled to enter yard. Immediately pinned dog once entering the yard. non responsive to correction. Had to be pulled from yard, muzzle was never taken off due to behavior concerns. 04/27/2025 volunteer notes: I spent time with Johnny Boy on April 27th. He was really enthusiastic to go outside! Once outside he quickly used the bathroom and beelined for the door to go inside. We walked to the meet and greet room. Johnny Boy is very skinny and loved treats! He knows sit! MEDICAL Vet Exam: Vet Exam 04/29/2025 | 6:46 pm Complete Exam Reason Skin/Ear Issues Clinic ACCT Philly Reason Notes Missing fur Subjective Missing fur on back Objective Signalment: ~10 month-1 year male intact pittie, neutered today Musculoskeletal: ambulatory x4, no lameness. skinny BCS= 3/9 Neuro: BAR Behavior: sweet and friendly with people, but very reactive to other animals in surgery suite; was hard barking and very prey-focused on the cats in the room Oropharynx, Dental: adult dentition in good condition, mm pink and moist Ears, Eyes, Nose, Throat: ears clean, eyes clear, no nasal discharge or cough Respiratory: eupneic, lungs auscult normally Abdomen: NSF Reproductive/Urogenital: intact male with two scrotal testicles, neutered today Skin/PLN: there is hair thinning and minor superficial crusting on caudal dorsum and tail base, extends slightly down the legs as well. All of the crusting appears to be exfoliating off to reveal healthy skin underneath. Did not appear pruritic on exam, and skin is not erythematous Assessment Suspect FAD - appears to be improving/resolving Plan Neutered today. No treatment appears necessary for skin at this time, appears to be healing appropriately. Medically ok for all pathways.
