My story

Meet Daphne our little nugget of love. Daphne is a female Carolina dog mix that is estimated to be 1-2 years old. She weighs 38 pounds. Daphne was found as a stray and came to Parma Animal Shelter. True to the Carolina dog breed, Daphne is independent, loyal, intelligent and agile. This petite gal is beautiful, short, stocky and low to the ground and will provide you with an overabundance of cuddles. She will roll over for belly rubs. She is good on leash and especially loves to chase every squirrel she sees. Daphne has a medium energy level. She would love an active family that will take her on long walks or hikes. She would also love to accompany you on the couch to watch Netflix. She would enjoy a fenced-in yard to run around in and do zoomies in. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Daphne seems to interact better with small dogs. She is afraid of bigger dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. A meet and greet with any resident dog must be done to ensure everyone gets along. Daphne is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes her vetting which includes spay, vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing.
