My story

Castella is a beautiful brown tabby domestic shorthair with a sweet, quiet spirit. She can be shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new places, but given time, patience, and respect for her boundaries, Castella truly blossoms into a loving and loyal companion. This lovely lady would thrive in a calm, understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would do well with older children who can appreciate her need for a gentle approach and give her the space she needs to feel safe and comfortable. With her soft coat, thoughtful eyes, and tender heart, Castella is ready to find someone who understands that the best relationships are built on trust. Once she feels secure, she’ll be a quiet, steady presence by your side, bringing warmth and sweetness to your life. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
